But there is no word on how users will create them. These deep links, also known as special URLs, serve as a quick shortcut for users to view and import sticker packs.
According to WABetaInfo, these deep links are accessible on the most recent WhatsApp beta and stable updates for iOS and Android. You can use these links to import and download sticker packs without having to visit the WhatsApp sticker store.
For instance, if you want to download the newly released COVID-19 vaccination awareness focused sticker pack called Vaccines for All, you can simply visit the deep link wa.me/sticker pack/VaccinesForAll from your Android or iOS phone.
The browser will open WhatsApp, displaying this sticker pack directly.WhatsApp’s latest Vaccines for All sticker pack includes 23 exclusive WHO-designed stickers.
As previously stated, it is unclear how these links are created. It is likely that only developers can build this link. However, it can later be shared by everyone. According to WABetaInfo, these deep links can also be copied and pasted into WhatsApp messages.
Deep links can come in handy when installing regional sticker packs.
