Most popular instant messaging app WhatsApp could soon add new features like multi-device support, disappearing mode, and view once.

According to a report by WABetaInfo, Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Facebook, and Would Cathcart, Chief of WhatsApp, have stated that WhatsApp will soon receive multi-device compatibility, allowing users to use the app on multiple devices simultaneously.

The report also claims that Zuckerberg has also acknowledged plans to add a new ‘disappearing mode’ throughout all chat threads. The feature will allow users to apply disappearing messages across all of their WhatsApp chat threads.

WhatsApp is also intending to launch a ‘see once’ feature that will allow users to exchange media items such as images and movies that would only be seen once by the receiver before disappearing. This is similar to sharing photos on Instagram, another Facebook-owned social networking website.

According to the report, the ‘view once’ functionality would be available soon. While the exact timetable for the release of these features is unknown, the new features are expected to be accessible in a public beta version in the following months.
