Mobile World Congress (MWC) is the preferred springboard for mobile manufacturers to present their new devices. Samsung may tease its next Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 and the Watch Active 4 and also a new version of Wear OS at its MWC event.
According to Front Page Tech’s Jon Prosser, the new Samsung Galaxy smartwatch will be available in select markets beginning August 11. The tipster did not indicate when the new smartwatches are scheduled to be launched. Previous reports suggested that the Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch Active 4 would be available in Q2 2021.
The screen sizes for the Watch 4 will be 42mm and 46mm. When compared to the Watch 3, the larger variant is 1mm bigger. The Active 4 will have screen sizes of 40mm and 42mm.
Meanwhile, the schedule for MWC 2021 includes a Samsung conference titled “Galaxy Ecosystem / New Watch Experience / Mobile Security” which will take place on June 28 (the first day of MWC) at 7.15 pm PST.
The description for this session says that Samsung is reimagining smartwatches, creating new opportunities for developers and consumers. Of course, these few lines do not indicate the arrival of new Samsung smartwatches. Instead, the company can simply give us a better overview of the Wear OS upgrade, developed through a Samsung partnership with Google.
Samsung event would take place in August to precisely reveal the two watches, as well as the Galaxy Tab S8, Galaxy S21 FE, Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Galaxy Z Fold 3.
