Realme 8 5G with Dimensity 700 SoC to launch on April 22 in India. The Realme 8 5G will be an improved version of the Realme 8 that was released in India last month.
Realme confirmed the launch event by sending out media invites. As per the media invite, The launch event will start at 12:30 p.m.
Realme 8 5G will have MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. The Realme 8 5G, according to Flipkart teaser, will have up to 128GB of storage and a microSD card slot for expansion (up to 1TB).
The phone runs on Realme UI 2.0 based on Android 11. It will feature a 6.5-inch full-HD+ display with 600 nits of peak brightness and a 90Hz screen refresh rate. The display also supports a 180Hz touch sampling rate. Realme 8 5G has a 5,000mAh battery
The Realme 8 5G was earlier teased with a gradient back finish, but without the company’s ‘Dare to Leap’ branding. The Realme 8 5G version has also allegedly appeared on some certification pages recently. It has been hinted that it will be released in India, as well as other markets.
The Realme 8 5G’s launch date was revealed on the official Realme Thailand Facebook page. A teaser video of the forthcoming Realme phone has also been shared on the company’s Facebook page.
The teaser video also shows that, unlike the Realme 8 4G, the Realme 8 5G has a triple rear camera package with a 48-megapixel main sensor. The standard Realme 8 has a quad rear camera s with a primary sensor of 64 megapixels.
Realme unveiled the Realme 8 and Realme 8 Pro smartphone under its 8 series in the Indian market a few days ago. Now, Realme is preparing to release two more phones in this series.
While the pricing of upcoming phones has yet to be announced. But it is believed that the Realme 8 5G will be priced between Rs.15,000 to Rs.18,000.The Realme 8 is priced at Rs 14,999 and Realme 8 Pro is priced at Rs 17,999 in India.
According to other reports, Realme may also launch Realme 8i soon. There is no detail about the upcoming Realme 8i smartphone, but based on the name, the device is likely to be a scaled-down version of the Realme 8 smartphone.
Meanwhile, Realme is also gearing up to release its flagship smartphone Realme GT in India. Realme GT has already been released in China. Realme GT is the costliest phone from Realme.
