PUBG Lite, a low-end version of the battle royale game PUBG, will be officially shut down On April 29. player support will be discontinued On May 29.

The announcement comes just one day after the lite.pubg.com website was shut down. Those who have the game installed on their systems will be able to play and spend in-game credits as normal until the termination period. The publisher, Krafton, has not given an explanation for the termination of the Lite version.

According to the official website’s Service Termination Notice, the PUBG Lite team announced that the game’s webpage has been closed, and no more updates or download will be available.

Those who already have the game installed on their devices will be able to play it until April 29,10:30 am IST. player support for the game will be discontinued on May 29.

“We are deeply grateful for the passion and support from the astounding number of PUBG Lite fans that have been with us. During the strenuous times of the Covid-19 pandemic, we hope that PUBG Lite was able to provide our fans with a fun way to stay safe,” said the developer in a message on the official website.

The developer further said that “Unfortunately, we have made the difficult decision to close service after much deliberation and the time has come for our journey to end. We regretfully inform you that the service of PUBG Lite is scheduled to end on April 29th, 2021 (UTC),”

The developers of PUBG Mobile, which is still banned in India, are attempting to revive it. In India, the game was prohibited under Section 69A of the Information Technology Act. PUBG Corporation later revealed that it was terminating its relationship with Tencent and would collaborate with the Indian government to find a fast solution.
