Microsoft is planning to replace Calibri as its default font for the Microsoft Office Suite apps and also adding the five new fonts — Bierstadt, Grandview, Seaford, Skeena, and Tenorite.
These fonts would gradually replace Calibri. Microsoft is soliciting user feedback in the coming months to determine the next default font. All five font families can be downloaded from the Microsoft Support website.
Calibri as its default font for the first time since switching from Times New Roman in 2007. Microsoft revealed five new font families for its Office Suite applications in a blog post.
Sans serif fonts in the styles of Bierstadt, Grandview, Seaford, Skeena, and Tenorite are available for download from Microsoft’s Support website. Microsoft is also encouraging its users to provide input and comments on Twitter.
