Social media giant Facebook is reportedly working on a Smartwatch. As per reports, Smartwatch may have two cameras, a heart rate sensor and other features. Facebook may launch its Smartwatch in 2022.
According to the report by Verge, the Facebook smartwatch would have a display with two camera sensors. It will be detachable from the wrist and can be used to take photos and videos. The smartwatch will also be intimately linked with Facebook’s apps. Users can post photos and videos straight on Facebook, Instagram, and other social media platforms.
The report also provides some important details about the social media giant’s future smartwatch. On the display, there will be two camera sensors that may be detachable to take photos and videos. The watch will allow users to share photos and videos across all of Facebook’s apps.
The Facebook watch will have a front-facing 1080p camera, especially for video calls. When disconnected from the frame, there will also be an auto-focus camera on the back to capture footage.
According to the report, Facebook is working with other companies to develop attachments for the camera hub. It is also said to be working on the smartwatch’s second and third generations.
Meanwhile, prior rumours indicate that Facebook is developing a wearable with health and messaging capabilities. It will run on Google’s Android operating system.
It will also have a heart rate monitoring system, like other smartwatches. In addition, Facebook is collaborating with some of the leading US wireless carriers to provide LTE connectivity compatibility. The watch will be available in white, black, and gold. It is expected to be priced at approximately $400 (around Rs 29,000).
