PUBG mobile game’s Indian version Battlegrounds Mobile India pre-registration will start on May 18 on the Google Play store.
The developer Krafton announced on its website that Battlegrounds Mobile India will be available for pre-registration on the Google Play store beginning May 18. Although there is no word on when the game will be launched. Krafton announced on its website that
The developer also revealed that those who pre-register will receive exclusive rewards that can be claimed when the game is officially released.
Krafton, the South Korean company behind PUBG, has earlier announced Battlegrounds Mobile India as its exclusive game for the Indian market.
The new game promises a premium gaming experience as well as unique in-game events with costumes and features. According to Krafton, Battlegrounds Mobile India will also launch its own esports ecosystem, which will include tournaments and leagues.
Krafton has also released a video teaser for the Battlegrounds Mobile India game, which appears to be similar to the original PUBG Mobile.
The company also stated that all data collection and storage for Battlegrounds Mobile India will be in full compliance with all relevant laws and regulations in India and for Indian players.
This may be in regard to the government’s concerns about PUBG Mobile’s data privacy and protection. which led to its ban in September last year.
The government of India banned PUBG Mobile and 117 other mobile apps from China. Immediately after the ban, Kraton’s subsidiary PUBG Corporation purchased the publishing and distribution rights in India from PUBG Mobile’s Chinese publisher Tencent Games.
Krafton has launched a new website for the game. The homepage shows a GIF of its new logo and the announcement of the game. The social media handles currently only include a link to the company’s official YouTube page.
The company has removed all social media posts on Instagram and Facebook, including the official PUBG Mobile India release preview.
