ASUS unveils ROG Moba 5 gaming laptop with 300Hz display: ASUS has updated its ROG gaming laptop lineup with two models: ASU SROG Moba 5 and Moba 5 Plus.

The two models differ in screen diagonal, while both boast almost same hardware and matrix. In addition, each of the laptops received a capacious battery, support for fast charging and an efficient cooling system for long gaming sessions.

The main highlight of both new laptops is the eight-core AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX chip with overclocking capability based on the Zen 3 architecture.

The gaming laptops have NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 with 8 GB of video memory and support for core overclocking up to 1600 MHz.

Moba 5 and Moba 5 Plus price and availability

The new laptops will go on sale on January 26th. The price of the ASUS ROG Moba 5 in a 16GB / 512GB configuration will cost $ 2012 (around Rs. 1,46,874).

while the Moba 5 Plus with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of ROM will cost customers $ 2164 ( around Rs 1,57,970).

Moba 5 and Moba 5 Plus features

Laptops are equipped with 16 GB of DDR4-3200 RAM, the maximum supported RAM is 64 GB. The NVMe storage capacity is 512 GB, and an additional slot allows you to install another SSD.

The screens of the laptops (15.6 “for the Moba 5 and 17.3” for the Moba 5 Plus) occupy 87% of the lid area. The display supports a whooping 300 Hz refresh rate.

It has a response time of 3 ms, covers 100 per cent sRGB colour gamut, as well as Adaptive-Sync technology support.

The laptops are cooled by the proprietary Glacier Cooling Architecture 2.0 system with two fans, six copper pipes and four air vents.

The battery lasts for up to 11 hours during video playback, thanks to a 90 Wh battery with support of 100-watt charging via the USB Type-C port.

The ASUS ROG Moba 5 has Wi-Fi 6 module, USB Type-A, USB Type-C and HDMI 2.0b connectors. Other laptop features include Dolby Atmos speakers and customizable RGB lighting keyboard.
