Android 12, Google’s upcoming mobile operating system may come with an all-new UI (User Interface), theme support and enhanced privacy.
Google I/O 2021 is quickly approaching. After a year off, the annual Android developer conference returns to the virtual world on May 18. Google is expected to release Android 12.
Key elements of the upcoming mobile operating system have leaked online ahead of the developer event. Jon Prosser, a tipster, has released several pictures revealing the Android 12 announcements Google will make during the event.
Google is giving the forthcoming Android release a major cosmetic makeover. The leaked images also suggest that Google’s priority is to provide enhanced privacy and security measures.
Jon Prosser claims that Android 12 will have a “beautiful new experience” as well as “stronger privacy and security protections.” Google’s future mobile operating system will also make “all your devices function better together.”
He showed the images of the new UI elements. A new media widget, a power saver toggle, and a revised brightness level slider are all included. The leaked photos also show the new weather and clock widget.
According to previously leaked information, Google will launch a new Conversation highlights widget. Prosser’s video also displays a stacked notification panel and the option to manually arrange notifications.
Other upgrades also include a new keyboard and a redesigned home screen with a large clock in the centre. When the device is unlocked, it will also display the number of unread notifications in the top-left corner next to the clock.
According to a prior report, Google would add a clipboard access prompt feature. This feature is already available on iOS 14.
